Below is me, on the left and Polo my Brother on the Right.
Tomorrow I will post pictures of me visiting with our Troops.
Scott will be posting pictures of Noble as he turns in for advanced training and pictures of his friend Bo.

Peace here, just checking in to keep you up to date on my adventures.
I left my Breeder care taker out in Santa Rosa in California on Thursday,  11/7/1  and arrived on the east coast latter that evening.
I was told that Scott and Mary would be picking me up on Friday afternoon.
Sure enough, latter that day on Friday afternoon , after the Graduation ceremony and the turning in of Noble . I was in the arms of Mary and posed with my brother polo for a picture.

At 3:30 I was in the S.U.V. and on my way back to Kittery Maine, first stop was to board the ferry in Port Jefferson, just 15 miles down the Road from Canine Companions For Independence in Medford long island.
A 45 minute ride and the boat ( OR SHIP) was docking in Bridgeport conn.
I don't remember much more as I slept most of the ride home.
However I was told that it was another 4 hour ride home to Kittery Maine.
My new parents, are BUSY people, and I soon found out they are members of the Pease Greeters , and they Greet a LOT of troops during all hours of the Night and day.
I recently went with them on 11/10/13 at 3:00 AM and Greeted over 200 troops headed over seas.
You can see some of the photo's of me on this web site...Pease Greeters.org  ( then go to the photo section of the web site and look for photo's on the Shutterfly section of the web page).

I'm currently enrolled in puppy class and learning sit, down and coming when called.
Scott will be adding some of his own comments I'm sure , along with some pictures.
That's all for now....Peace

I feel that Noble is ready, and I know he will do his best.
Emotions run high, sad that I will not see Noble for 6months.
At the same time, HAPPY about meeting Peace,

So long for now and THANK YOU for visiting this Blog.

11/5/13   I have been told by my Human family that help to raise me ( Paula and Kattie) known also as my Breeder Care takers that my new family in Kittery Maine is Very excited to meet me.
Some of the things that I'm learning before I leave is the various noises that I may encounter around their house.
Such as the telephone, the vacuum cleaner, even the lawn mower.
I've learned these things by listening to a CD that is played quite often.
SO....soon I'm off to Medford Long Island in New York ,where Scott and Mary will pick me up.

I have heard that Noble has said his good byes to the Pease Greeters and to the Kittery Lions club to which Scott and Mary and Noble are members.

Photos of Noble may also show up on this blog from time to time, as he was a HUGE part of Scott and Mary's life for a year and a half.

I now doubt have BIG paws to fill, and promise to do my best while training and also maintaining this blog site.

Puppies SLEEP a lot and I'm SURE my Parents out Here in California have NO IDEA that I'm using their computer....SO...Bye for Now....Peace

Here is a video of me and my family....I'm the Pretty girl in the yellow bow
Welcome to my Blog Site.
My name is Peace and I was recently born on 9/11/13 .
Some day I hope to become a Service dog to help people with various disabilities.
I've been told that depending on my ability during my training process that I may have the possibility of one of four jobs.
I may become a full Service dog that performs tasks for people that are mobility impaired .
That means I will be , Turning on and off lights OR pushing buttons that open door, and helping to pick up things that are dropped.

A hearing dog would be a Service dog that is trained to alert a person to a particular noise .
I will be trained to find the noise first...Then I'll get to take the person to that particular noise, such as the front door, after I hear the door bell ring.

A skilled Companion is a Service dog that works as a team between the personal care assistant or a family member , due to the fact that the disabled person may not have the ability to handle me themselves...BUT I still have an important roll .
I'll be picking things up that are dropped and offering LOTS of love and support.

Perhaps I'll become a Facility Dog.
I'll go to work with my new owner and help out children with speech therapy , by having a child OR adult give me commands, such as SIT, DOWN.....maybe even SHAKE.

As of today 11//3/13 I'm still in California , but I be writing more SOON.
Not to much longer and I'll be flying off to Medford Long Island N.Y.....Take Care....Love...Peace
